LAUREN ADELE JONAITIS

Ever since I was a little girl I have always had a passion for nature and wildlife. I knew from a young age I wanted to make a difference in the world and do what ever I can to protect the natural world around me. This passion has led me to complete a Masters Degree in Conservation Biology & Ecology at Bowling Green State University and a Bachelors Degree in Zoology at the State University of New York at Oswego. Throughout my education and job experience, I have come to realize that conservation biology is not only about managing wildlife, but managing people. I hope throughout my lifetime I not only make a difference in the field of conservation biology, but make a difference in the lives of people by motivating and inspiring them to protect our planet. As the famous conservation biologist E.O. Wilson has said "I don't want to lecture people about saving the planet. I want to share with them the joy of the natural world."
